J.R. began in roofing installation and structural carpentry in Oklahoma City in 1991. His experience later expanded to insurance, including roof inspections before underwriting, and ownership of a roofing construction company.
That background offers a practical perspective on property loss: the visible surface, the materials behind it, and the work involved in repair.
He has appraised property claims since 2012 and has worked full-time in insurance appraisal and roofing consulting since 2020. His catastrophe work includes assignments following hurricanes Laura, Delta, Ida, and Ian.
